Creating Your First Patch

Open the prompt field and describe a sound in plain language. Be specific about texture, movement, and register — Murmur’s mapper does better with “shimmering crystalline bell with a slow low-pass sweep” than with “cool sound.”

AI_AGENT // INPUT

“Shimmering crystalline bell texture with deep analog warm undertones that sweeps into a low pass wash”

MURMUR-COGNITIVE-V1 // COMPILED // 14-D EST

Submitting the prompt sends it to POST /api/v1/murmur/generate-preset (see API reference), which returns a patch, a validation result, and a slug you can use to revisit or share it. The full mapping pipeline is explained in Understanding Patch Generation.

The generated patch loads immediately. From here you can:

  • Play it as-is
  • Nudge individual parameters (see Reference for what each one does)
  • Regenerate with a refined prompt

Save the patch to your library from the toolbar. Saved patches sync through your account and are visible in Tidepool’s library view.
